Joining us are Rodrigo and Roger Frias, the owners of Classic Nursery in Woodinville, and Nuria Monica Navarro, owner of Leaves and Roots Consulting. They will illuminate the rich tapestry of Hispanic culture, offering invaluable insights to cultivate more harmonious work environments and positive outcomes. The webinar will include a moderated Q&A session, brief language lesson and break out session, and a wrap up.

About Our Presenters:

Rodrigo Frias:
Rodrigo has always had a passion for small business entrepreneurship and enabling others to live healthier and succeed in life. After a 12 year-long corporate career in finance, marketing, and strategy at global firms such as Microsoft and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Rodrigo decided to leverage his experience and transition back to his roots as a small business entrepreneur. Now as the General Manager of Classic Nursery and Landscape Co., Rodrigo oversees strategic decisions, implementation of new initiatives and safeguards Classic's culture. When he's not working, Rodrigo enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and playing outdoor sports. Rodrigo is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and holds an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Roger Frias:
With over 15 years of dedicated experience in operations, Roger has successfully managed teams of all sizes, ranging from small office units to large teams of over 800 members across multiple locations in Mexico. His career spans a diverse array of industries, including retail, education, construction, and hospitality, showcasing his adaptability and broad expertise.

Nuria Monica Navarro:
Nuria has always been passionate about sustainability, ecology, and environmental sciences. She holds a BS in Biology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, an MS in Forest Sciences from the University of British Columbia, and a certificate in Landscape Horticulture from Edmonds College. After leaving academia, she transitioned to the private sector, joining Diamond Head Consulting, a Canadian environmental company responsible for monitoring and managing invasive species in Metro Vancouver's parks. Following her time at Diamond Head Consulting, she worked as a horticulturist at the Washington Park Arboretum. Driven by her longtime dream, she eventually launched her own business Leaves and Roots Consulting, based in Seattle. Her services include landscape design, management, houseplant care and integrated pest management.

David Hancock:
David's professional path has been a winding one, which is exactly how he likes it. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature at Whitman College, he spent two more years in Walla Walla landscaping, farming, cooking, and climbing and pruning 100-foot-tall sycamores. His next chapter was a four-year stint in Spain, teaching English and, for two of those years, delving into Basque language and cuisine. David moved home to Seattle in 2018, where he's worked in the world of community engagement. Most recently, he started his own part-time, electric bicycle-based horticulture, restoration and landscaping company by the name of West Seattle Wildscaping.
